This Position Will Be Located In Downtown Syracuse, NY. The Senior Manager Of External Affairs Will Coordinate With The Head Of US Government Affairs On The Execution Of Micron’s Strategy For Community And Government Affairs In New York.
The Senior Manager Will Develop And Lead Community Relations To Support The Company’s Commitments To Government And Community Partners. In This Cross-Functional Role, You Will Engage And Collaborate With Local, Regional And Some Federal Government Entities To Find New Ways To Inspire Community Action.
Responsibilities:
Engage And Build Public Support For Relevant Issues, Lobby For Policy Changes Through Appropriate Channels, And Maintain Up-To-Date Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Government Changes And Actions. Create Strategy And Help Develop Content For Internal And External Partners To Increase Awareness And Buy-In In Key Areas For Community Engagement And Engagement, Relationship Development And Policy For Advocacy, Influence, Education And Positive Outcomes.
Lead Micron’s Partnership Strategy With Government And Policy Organizations To Address Major Public Policy Issues That Impact People, Businesses And Communities. Continue To Grow The Micron Brand In The Political And Policy Community To Include All Appropriate Outreach Programs, Civic Event Sponsors, Political Fundraising Events, Third Party Groups And Partnerships.
- Ensure The Results Of The Advocacy Strategy Are Measurable And Effective Through Relationship Management
- Strategically Engage And Deploy Internal And External Resources In Collaboration With Micron’s Government And Public Affairs Team.
Qualifications And Skills:
Learn About The Intersection Of Community, Public Policy, Brand, Reputation, Mission, And How To Manage Business Growth.
- Extensive Knowledge Of The Legislative Process, As Well As Experience Monitoring, Researching And Analyzing Legislation. Proven Track Record Of Excellent Collaboration With A Range Of Collaborators, Including Administrators, Researchers, Public Officials And Community Organizations.
- Experience Leading Community Engagement Campaigns In A Policy Environment For A Global Company, Trade Association And/Or In A Government Role. Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Appropriate Internal And External Parties, Conflict Resolution Skills.
