Summary Of Work And Mission
The Core Infrastructure Engineering Team Focuses On Building Massively Scalable Full Stack Infrastructure For Starbucks Owned, Licensed And Franchised Stores. This Role Will Focus On Building Infrastructure Automation Using A Declarative Gitops Approach Across Multiple Infrastructure Domains. Help Us Expand And Leverage Our Capabilities Across Networking, Compute, Virtualization And Container Capabilities. Previous Experience With Full Stack Automation, CI/CD, Git, Python, Golang And Kubernetes Is Essential. Knowledge Of Cloud Native Design Patterns, Edge Computing Solutions And API Development Is Highly Desirable.
Duties And Essential Job Functions Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:
Technical Design And Implementation
Develops Software Solutions To Business Problems. It Uses Established Design Patterns And Coding Standards. It Creates Solutions That Are Secure, Robust, Scalable, Accessible And Self-Healing. Involvement In The Solution Design Process: Gathering Requirements And Improving Backlogs, Shaping And Leading Procedural Systems, Helping To Initiate The Project, Contributing To The Design And Development Of Functionality. It Provides Transparency Of Process And Progress. It Automates Test Coverage According To Platform Capabilities And Requirements. Implements And Maintains Continuous Build And Integration Testing On Relevant Platforms And Assists With Manual Systems And Integration Testing. Works With Waterfall And Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Processes And Methodologies.
Platform Management
Work With Cross-Functional Teams Such As Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, QA And Key Development Teams To Drive Designs And Solutions To Ensure Compliant, Secure And Supportable Solutions. Deepens Vendor Relationships To Understand And Influence Vendor Product Offerings And Plans, Improve Support Engagement, And Gain Insight Into Technology Trends.
Production Support For Application Components
Performs Call Support Responsibilities For Application Components. Assists In Creating And Reporting Operational Key Performance Indicators (Kpis) On Matters Such As Application Performance.
Creates And Maintains Documentation That Supports Training, Deployment, And Operational Processes.
Basic Qualifications
- 2-3 Years Of Professional Experience In Software Development
- Bachelor’s Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field
- Knowledge And Experience In The Design And Development Of Complex Software Systems.
Working Understanding Of Application Architecture, Infrastructure, Security Concepts And Technical Implementation. Deep Understanding Of The Relevant Platform And Applications, Including Built-In Apis, System Activity Components, Process Flows, Underlying Data Models, Business Logic, And Application Configuration.
1-2 Years Of Go And/Or Python Development Experience. Ability To Work Remotely Successfully While Balancing Multiple Priorities And Meeting Deadlines.
