What Role Will You Play In Our Team?
By Joining The Separation Fundamentals Team Within Exxonmobil Technology And Engineering Company In Clinton, New Jersey; You Will Be An Integral Technical Contributor To The Design And Development Of Separation Processes In A Variety Of Applications. This Includes The Conceptualization And Evaluation Of Membrane And Adsorptive Separation Processes To Support New Process Technologies From Concept To Commercially Viable Processes.
What Are You Doing?
- Develop And Maintain Capabilities To Support The Development Of Membranes And Related Separations.
- Serve As Subject Matter Expert For Membranes And Other Separation Application Technologies
- Well Versed In General Membrane And Adsorptive Separation Processes To Provide Sound Recommendations As To Which Process Design Is Best For A Given Situation
- Provide Concept Of Membrane Process And Other Separation Concepts
Ability To Implement And Lead Membrane Experimental Units To Achieve Performance Under Commercial Conditions. Work With Cross-Disciplinary Teams With Modeling Expertise To Develop Process Models And Cost Estimates Based On Performance Data.
Collaborate With Third Party Membrane Developers To Drive The Overall Development Of Membrane Materials And Capabilities Into Exxon Mobil’s Areas Of Commercial Interest
It’s About You
- Phd In Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science And Engineering Or Related Field With Relevant Thesis
- Hands-On Experience Using Separation Materials And Processes Including Characterization And Performance Analysis With A Focus On Membrane Applications
Proven Experience In:
- Operation, Optimization And Development Of Liquid And Gas Membrane Penetration Testing Equipment
- Use Of Transport Principles To Explain The Phenomenological Performance Of Various Membrane And Adsorption Processes
- Process Conceptualization Focused On New Separation Applications
- Understanding Material Properties – Functional Relationships That Govern Separation Performance. Ability To Guide Material Progress To Targeted Separations
- Well In The Modern Commercial Environment And Development Of Membrane And Adsorption Separation
- Passionate And Self-Motivated
- Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
