Job Description:
We Are Currently Seeking An Energetic, Detail-Oriented Individual To Join Our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This Dedicated Team Works To Maintain The Critical Physical Infrastructure That Supports Our Organization Of Data Centers Within Amazon. Specifically, This Team Strives To Ensure That The Data Center Operates At 100% Availability While Maintaining First-Class Customer Service Across Teams And Groups Within The Data Centers.
This Position Will Report To The Data Center Operations Manager And Provide A Central Point Of Ownership And Responsibility For The Overall “Hands-On” Management Of The Mechanical And Electrical (M&Amp;E) Infrastructure. It Will Also Include Event Management, Incident Management, Problem Management And Change Management. In Addition, It Will Include Managing Relationships With Critical Equipment Vendors, The Data Center Construction Team, The Data Center Operations Team, The Security Team And The Logistics Team. Key Responsibilities Include.
Operation And Maintenance:
- Ownership Of All Data Center Changes/Events/Incidents/Issues From Start To Finish, As Well As Overseeing The Completion Of Autopsy, Root Cause Analysis And Follow-Up Actions For Resolution.
- Responsible For Ensuring Maintenance/Repairs Of Critical Equipment Infrastructure As The Data Center Is Planned And Implemented In The Best Interest Of The Business. · Responsibility For Property And Inventory Management.
- Develop And Maintain Procedural Statements, Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Response Procedures And Preventive Maintenance Programs. Ensure Standardization And Consistency Of Best-In-Class Operating Practices.
- Develop Complete And In-Depth Knowledge Of Design Intent, Operational Alternatives And Contingency Plans Related To All Data Center Systems. · Understand The Technical Aspects Of Data Centers Related To Health And Safety, Local Legal Requirements, Environmental And Energy Management.
- Provide Regular Technical Reports And Ensure Compliance With Contracted Deliverables Including Slas And Kpis. · Provide Equipment Support As Needed (E.G. Installation Of New Equipment, Decommissioning Of Equipment, Replacement Of Faulty Equipment, Internal Audits…
- Participate In Technical Compliance Audits And Effective And Timely Closure Of Corrective Action Plans. Participate In Annual Operational Reviews Focusing On Compliance With Amazon Standards And All Applicable Regulatory Requirements. (Audit)
- Manage The Delivery Of A Portfolio Of Energy / Environmental Management Programs
- Keep Up With Innovations In The Data Center Industry
- Incidents And Emergency Response:

- Manage The Flow Of Information During Incidents While Providing Regular Updates To Management
