The Network Transaction Data Group Is Responsible For Managing And Processing All Credit And Non-Credit Card Transaction Data. Our Team’s Mission Is To Provide A Platform And Tools For Capturing, Searching, Processing And Distributing Verification, Billing, Pricing, Settlement And Payment Data. This Team Aims To Improve Market Agility And Improve Customer Satisfaction. The Platform Consists Of Receiving Various Transactional Data Through A Channel And Storing The Data In A Data Lake. Data Will Be Processed For Authorization, Settlement And Settlement Activities. Data Is Further Distributed To Partners And Other Internal Teams Via Reports And Apis. Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ Years Of Experience Designing And Implementing Software Using Java Or Scala. Experience With Data Processing Using Spark.
- Knowledge Of Design, Implementation And Operation Of All Nosql Databases Such As Cassandra, Elasticsearch.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience With Distributed Data Processing And Analytics With Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Spark.
- Experience With Distributed Messaging Systems Such As Kafka
- Experience Building Micro And Service Mesh Services Is A Plus
- Experience With Cloud Platforms Such As Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift Is An Advantage. Experience With Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery And Devops Systems.
- Experience Architecting Large-Scale Distributed Data Systems With Scalability, Reliability, Security, Performance, And Flexibility In Mind. Clear Understanding Of The Various Design Patterns, Threads And Memory Models Supported By The Language / VM.

Responsibilities
As A Data Engineer, You Will Be Responsible For Developing Core Functions And Features Of Card Transaction Systems On A Distributed Platform Deployed In A Hybrid Cloud. The Data Engineer At American Express Is An Individual Contributor Role That Reports To The Director Of Engineering.
