Main Responsibilities:
As A Senior Manager-Iot, E-Enablement, Wireless And Solution Engineering At United Airlines, You Will Lead The Architecture/Engineering Team By Providing Secure And Reliable Iot, E-Enablement, Wireless, E-Enablement And Solution Engineering Support For The IT Strategy. And United’s Desired Business Results. Foster A Culture Of Continuous Improvement To Deliver Better Delivery Methods And Expand And Deepen The Technical Skills Of The Team. Provide Team Leadership That Removes Performance Barriers To Delivery And Ensures Departmental And Individual Goals Are Met. Explain Implementation Procedures And Deployment Guidelines To Ensure Clean And Repeatable System Installations. Align The Technical Strategy Of The IOE With The Business Requirements Related To Cutting Edge Technologies. Prioritize Team Contributions And Allocate Resources To Programs, Projects And Other Work Tasks. Align Technical Organizations Including IOE, Application Development, Data Analytics And Security To Collaborate On Iot, E-Enablement, Wireless And Solution Engineering Strategy. Ensure All Production Deployments Are Fully Functional, Tested And Well Documented To Meet All Production Support And Turnaround Auditability Criteria. A Strong Foundation For Executing Multiple Technical Projects Simultaneously. Mentor And Assist Employees In Creating Individualized Career Development And Training Plans. Manage Organizational Tasks Such As HR Administration, Time Tracking, Expense Reporting, Etc. For All Team Employees And Suppliers.
- Assist With Capital Planning, Budget Monitoring And Resource Allocation As Needed. Work With Airport Operations To Determine End-User Requirements And Technical Constraints For Iot, Wireless Technology Deployment. Meet With Business Contacts On A Recurring Basis To Drive Key Technology Initiatives Aligned With Overall Iot, Wireless, E-Enablement And Solution Engineering Strategies. Participate In The IOE PMO And Create AFE Budgets And Programs.
- Conduct Proof-Of-Concepts With Technology Providers To Identify Products That Meet Relevant Business And Technical Requirements. Lead A Cross-Functional Team In Designing, Testing, Deploying And Securing Iot Technology Solutions For UAL Business Partners.
