The Team Provides Essential Platforms And Services That Enable Our Customers To Discover And Buy The Products They Love. Our Systems Use Wayfair’s Rich Customer And Product Data To Provide Reliable And Relevant Real-Time Recommendations Using Proprietary Machine Learning Models. The Team Used Wayfair’s Rich Data Sets To Create Our Search And Recommendation Plan. We Work Closely With A High Performing Team Of Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers/Data Scientists And Product Managers Who Are At The Forefront Of Search And Recommendation.

Examples Of Our Work Are:

Design, Implement And Analyze The Results Of A/B Tests Of New Recommendation Algorithms And Strategies; We Also Develop New Test Methods And Test Analyses. KPI Reporting And Monitoring; Includes Anomaly Detection Tools And Advanced Measurement Techniques.

Analysis Of Survey Data (E.G Use And Improve Our Own Automated Tools; For Example, We Created A Quality Control Tool To Better Understand The Performance Of Our New Algorithms Before A/B Testing Them.

What Will You Do:

Design, Run And Analyze A/B Tests Of Our Latest Search Or Recommendation Algorithms

Understand, Extract And Massage Information From Multi-Terabyte Data Sources Including Clickstream, Product, Sales, Logistics, Product And Customer Databases To Provide Business Insights And Recommendations. Collaborate With Leaders In Functional Areas (Eg Product Management, Software Engineering, Machine Learning Science, Advanced Analytics &Amp; Insights) To Identify The Most Effective Ways To Use Data And Analytics To Drive Decision Making And Accelerate Revenue Growth.

Become An Expert In Data, Analytics And Testing Within The Business Unit To Ensure Accurate And Correct Interpretation Of Key Business Metrics And Consumer Behavior. Perform In-Depth Analysis, Including The Use Of Advanced Analytics Techniques, To Solve Some Of The More Critical And Complex Business Issues, Including Website Progress, Customer Segmentation And Targeting, And Customer Engagement And Behavior.

Develop Data Visualizations Through Reports, Dashboards, And Analytics To Distribute Data Insights In An Easily Digestible Way To Over 10,000 Employees Worldwide.

What You Need:

Main Qualifications:

  • Be A Junior/Senior In A Bachelor’s Program Or Master’s Degree Student In Computer Science/Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, Management, Or Another Quantitative Field With A League Academic Record.
  • Knowledge Of SQL (Incl. Aggregation Functions, Joins, Etc.) Or Other Structured Programming Language(S) (E.G. Python, Java, C)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience In An Analytical, Business Intelligence, Data Science Or Engineering Role Performing Quantitative Analysis
