Assist Nucor Building Systems In Its Sales And Profitability Efforts By Providing Safe And Efficient Designs For Low-Rise Steel Building Systems, Including Structures Such As Aircraft Hangars, Churches, Gymnasiums, Shopping Centers And Manufacturing/Industrial Buildings.
Effective Application Of Custom Developed Software For The Design Of Standard And Non-Standard Structural Framing Conditions And Specifications. Provide Creative, Economical Solutions For Challenging Framing Conditions Utilizing Knowledge Of Nucor Building Systems Products And Manufacturing Constraints.
Proactively Manage Projects Through Effective Communication And Documentation With Customers And Teammates In Other Departments. Assist In The Development Of Current Design Software By Providing Designs And/Or Verifying Engineering Calculations. Participating In The Development Of New Design Tools To Help With Productivity And Accuracy Is Sometimes Necessary. Perform Bid Engineering Functions As Required, Including Preliminary Design Of Structural Framing, Scope Of Work Clarification, And Proposal Qualification.
Represents Nucor Building Systems As A Technical Resource At Customer Project Meetings, Usually To Review Design Results Or Present Valuable Technical Ideas.
