Our Agile Radar Solutions (ARS) Segment Has A Unique Opportunity For A Dynamic Principal Specialist, Contracts, Who Will Primarily Support The Radar Manufacturing Program And Be Responsible For A Portfolio Of Manufacturing Contracts Across The Product Line. This Role Is Responsible For Managing Customer Relationships To Ensure Key Customer Preferences Are Met As Well As Interfacing With Customers During The Contract Implementation Phase And Must Be Prepared To Advise The Team On The Implementation Program Within The Terms Of The Contract That Provides A Reduction Solution. Contract/Program Risks. This Is A Challenging And Fast-Paced Environment With Opportunities To Collaborate With Our Commercial And Dod Customers.
The Principal Specialist, Contracts Will Report To The Associate Director, Contracts For ARS Production Programs.
What Will You Do:
- Works Closely With The Program Manager, Principal Engineer, And Functional Program Team Members To Review And Understand Contract Requirements.
- Support The Preparation And Submission Of Various Engineering Change Proposals (Ecps) As Well As New Business Proposals
- Drive Contract Implementation Discussions To Ensure Compliance With Internal Policies And Procedures And the Regulatory Environment While Ensuring Business And Financial Objectives Are Met
- Evaluate The Performance Requirements Of The Relevant Scope
Management Of Portfolio Contracts By Price
Act As The Customer’s Point Of Contact For All Contractual Matters, Change Management And Drive Contractual Matters To Close
- Request For Proposal (RFP) Analysis
- Perform Revisions And Coordination Of Proposals
- Contract Negotiation Support
- Providing General Contract Administration Support
- Advise Program Stakeholders And Management On Contractual Rights And Obligations
- Identify And Evaluate The Best Ways To Mitigate Contractual And Programmatic Risks
- Program Management And Implementation Control Support
- Provide Advice To Senior Management On Contractual And Business Matters
- Ensure That The Terms Of The Negotiation Are Consistent With Company Policy
Skills And Requirements:
- A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Government Procurement Management Experience, Preferably With The Department Of Defense Or Major Defense Contractors
- Knowledge Of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) And Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
- Contract Management Experience Including Proposal Preparation And Contract Negotiation With The US Department Of Defense (Dod) And Other Major Defense Contractors
- Experience Negotiating And Managing Contracts And/Or Subcontracts
- Proven Ability To Develop Effective Relationships With Customers And Internal Partners Based On Understanding, Cooperation, And Trust
- Experience Working In A Fast-Paced Environment Where Prioritization Is Effective
